I’m John. I’m a game designer and producer.
My goal is to create games that are meaningful, charming, and fun. To put it simply: I want to strike players right through the heart; giving them characters and interactions that will excite and inspire them. The world could be a more pleasant place, and I’d like to play a role in making it so.
I am currently serving as a producer, game designer, and creature artist for Locanimals, a student-led pitch project at Carnegie Mellon University: Entertainment Technology Center, where I am in my final year of the program. I’m leading the team in prototyping a new location-based creature collection game for iOS. Our goal is to create a “real-life Pokemon” styled game that encourages players to explore new locations, interact with strangers, all with a cute animal friend by your side.
